Pager Basics
Minitor 7 is a rugged analog two-tone voice pager with 5 channels, scan, and up to ~20 minutes of stored-voice playback. It’s designed to wake you up, cut through noise, and let you replay the message when you miss a detail.
The Motorola Minitor 7 is a direct replacement for the discontinued Minitor VI (6) pager.
A pager is receive-only for alerting and message playback; a radio is two-way for on-scene communications. Most departments issue both: pager for dependable call-up, radio for operations.
Volunteer and combination fire/EMS, small municipal departments, and on-call responders who need loud, reliable alerting at home or work without handing every member a portable radio.

Yes, order VHF (143–174 MHz) or UHF (450–486 MHz) to match your system. It decodes standard two-tone alerts and plays analog voice.
Each unit has 5 channels with up to 15 tone addresses per channel, so you can split by station, company, officers, countywide, and mutual aid.
